The one child that is missing is Parmelia Anderson my ggg grandmother. I have information from the Lucas County, Iowa Historical Society that seems to prove that Parmelia is the daughter of Sarah and Jessie. The 1850 census doesn't show her, because she was already married Elijah Baldwin. I would be happy to share the information on these papers if anyone is interested. PA Just showing the information that has been submitted. 1. Joseph Coombe, son of Samuel Coombe and Elizabeth Hill was born Mar 22, 1697.(question about the Quaker dating but close enough) 2. A number of documents show the wife of Joseph to be Sarah, the date of the marriage is not known. 3.Assuming an age of Joseph of 22 at the marriage of Sarah, gives a date of 1719 for the marriage. 4. The MM notice of the intent of Joseph Coombe to marry Mary Lucken is in 1746. Joseph would have been an age of 49. 5. This gives 27 years between marriages, 1719-1746. Same Joseph? 6. The five Tonoloway brothers were born as follows: Andrew 1723,Joseph 1728, Edward 1746, John 1730/40 and Samuel 1731. 7. Sarah was Joseph's wife in 1740, The time of the estate of Elizabeth Hill Coombe's in England. 8. Joseph resided in Plumstead, Bucks Co. PA in 1731/32, 1740, 1739 and 1737, the 1746 MM was in Abington close to Bucks Co. but in Montgomery Co. 9.A Joseph Coombe was in Little Cove in PA in 1749/50 when the settlers petition was signed, age 53 years if the same Joseph. a. All of the above has been posted the sources can be repeated if needed. b. a comparison of the signers of the settlers petition of 1749/50 were compared to the Tax list from Plumstead in 1731/32 and Middletown and Lower Mansfield for 1742. only one name, Williams is on both lists, not enough. c. I'm researching the family of William E. Combs on behalf of my friend who is a Combs descendant. I came across your wonderful website after returning home from Salt Lake City where I had collected some Combs info. On p. 5 of Cuthbert Combs I of Stafford, VA and Clark Co., KY, it states that Susan (or Susannah), wife of Joseph was born between 1776-1784 ("her birth year range adjusted to 1776-1784 since she was under age at time of her marriage"). The 1860 Missouri census for Pettis County, Flat Creek township, p. 881, listed a "Susan Combs, age 88, b. VA, mother of head of household, Wm Combs, age 48, b. KY, h/o Nancy" which would make Susan's birth date about 1772. >From what I've read on your website, I believe this woman to be the widow of Joseph Combs of Clark Co., KY. Do you agree? There's so much info on your site that I may have missed it, but in case you don't already have it, this is what I found on the demise of Susan Combs. Vol. 1, Pettis County, MO Inventories, Appraisements, Sale Bills and Settlements, 1868 - 1871, p. 408: Susan Combs, deceased, late of Pettis County, Missouri, personal property, goods and chattel as follows: One land warrant valued at one hundred dollars. Admininstrator - Wm. E. Combs Dated 2nd day of Dec 1874 (This, of course, is just a summary. The full record can be found on Film No. 0947328) Thank you for providing all this wonderful information.
