Noted by Ron Hanks: Mary Louisa Combs was the daughter of Lewis Combs and Martha Crutchfield. She lived her entire life in Marion County, Illinois and married Austin Hanks in 1877. The bible is now in the possesion of my aunt. Puncuation copied exactly as written. On the Births page, part of the left side of the page is missing. First names were partially readable and were filled in with known names. All handwriting on the births page is the same. On the Deaths page there are three different handwritings. Entry for Austin is one style (same as births.) Different writing for Charles & Ethel. The writing for Gus and Alvinis said to be done by Blanche Krutsinger Hanks.
