    • 1850/60 Census shows Denman Coombs and siblings in foster homes leaving the parents identity unknown.
    • Denman James Coomb(e)s and John Newton Coomb(e)s enlisted in Company E, Indiana Regiment 72 on the same date. Are they brothers or cousins? Records examination underway.
    • Family tradition states that we are related to Samuel Clemons and Daniel Boone. The name Clements was given for this connection for Mark Twain.
