Bradstone, a parish in the hundred of Lifton, county of Devon, 4¼ miles east southeast of Launceston, and five mi. from Plymouth, in the archdeaconry of Totness, and diocese of Exeter, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Exeter.

16 Nov 1604 Bradstone Church. "Here lyethe the body of John COUMBE buried 16th of November, being six score years of age, A.D. 1604"

Referred to as "Methusalah" in "The History of the Coumbe's of Devonshire and Cornwall," which adds that John "probably lived at Baucombe in Bradstone, and was interred under the floor of the porch of Bradstone church..." This individual is also mentioned in The Combes Genealogy, Chapter 2, p. 11, which adds that "The parish register of Stoke­Climsland [Cornwall, EN] records the burial of one Richard COMB in 1547. Stoke Climsland is a parish and Duchy of Cornwall manor in east Cornwall, south of Launceston [Cornwall], and near the Devon Cornwall border..."
