Roborough, a parish in the northern division, Hundred of Fremington, is in the Northern Division, Hundred of Fremington (adjacent to the Hundred of Shebbear), 5 miles northwest of Hollacombe, 5-1/2 miles southeast of Great Torrington and 7-1/2 miles northwest of Wembworthy... the living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books... and in the patronage of the Rev. Thomas MAY (1830). It is not to be confused with Roborough Hundred, which is in the southern division.
