Wiveliscombe, a parish in Somerset, 13 miles southwest of North Petherton, has not yet been actively researched.
8 May 1622 Wiveliscombe, Somerset, England. Christened: COOME, daughter of Edward COOME (IGI, E: 24 Feb 1972 LOGAN So: 095273 SP: 15 Jan 1970 SLAKE Pr: 0820766 - source not yet viewed)
This is the only Combe &c. found in this source.

"A Survey of the Prebend of Wiveliscombe & Mannor
thereof &c. taken in the moneth of June 1650.
Wherein after both the Gleabs & the Mannor are pticularly
menconed & surveyed it thus followes vizt.
All wch foremenconed pmisses wth theyr & euie of theyr
appurtennce (by Lease not pduced) are claymed by Sr John
Stawell Knt for the lives of Edward Stawell George Stawell &
Thomas Stawell sonnes of the saide Sr John Stawell under the
yearely Rent of fortie pounde payable quarterly by equall porcons.
But they are worth vppon improvemt as by the Seuall
pticulars before certifyed appeareth over and aboue the saide
rent p Annu . . . . 423li. 03s. 02d.
The lives are all in being as is affirmed but two thereof (vizt)
Edward & Thomas are saide to be in ffraunce.

MS. of Sir John Stawell, K.B., now in the possession of Lady Stawell.
Not known if relevant, but some STAWELLS removed to County Cork, Ireland, where on 22 Nov 1568, a Nicholas CAM was christened to Edward and Elizabeth CAM.
