COMBS--JAMES OSBORNE, 83, died Friday morning in a Cleveland hospital following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elgie COMBS, 18 months ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C. L. DENHAM, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., and Mrs. Bobby WOODY, Cleveland; a step-daughter, Mrs. Corine THOMPSON, Cleveland; three sons, Arlie COMBS, Apison; J. C. COMBS, Chattanooga; and Earl B. COMBS, Fort Myers, Fla,: a stepson, Edgar TURNER, Mason, Ill; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Floyd COMBS, Rossville, Ga; Crooke COMBS, Chattanooga, and Bob COMBS of Ooltewah; a sister, Dovie ROSE, Harriman, Tenn; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Coff, pastor of the Frazier Chapel Baptist Church and the Rev. Buddy Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the McDonald Cemetery. The family is now receiving friends at the Wildwood Chapel, Buner Funeral Home directing.
