Katherine C. Bray Note: The full name of Francis Combs was Thomas Francis Combs. He was born in 1808 in Wilkes County, Ga., the son of Enoch Combs. He married ca 1833 to Allath. Four children were born to this couple: Mary Jane b 1834, Martha b 1838, William b 24 Sep 1833, Lucy Ann b 1846. William Thomas Combs was born 24 Sep 1839 in Wilkes County and died 16 Jul 1910 in Taliaferro County. He served in the Confederate Army. He married Susan Lunceford 8 Jun 1858. Children from this marriage: Millie A. b 1859, Thomas Franklin b 1860, James b 1866, John b 1867, Sara b 1869, Dassy b 1870, Mary Lucy b 1872, Minnie Lee b 1873, Georgia Maud b 1875, Ex b 1876, Charley b 1878, Emma b 1879.
William Thomas married his second wife Emma Luceford Jan 1890. Two children were born to this couple: A. Linwood b 1891 and Frances Eugenia b 1893.
