Notes: Robert (aka Andrew Robert) and Lucy previously found in Union Co, IA in 1860, Johnson Co IA 1854 & 1856 IA State Census, and in Delaware Co, IN in 1850. There is a mystery about this Samuel in the household. According to the Worth Co., MO Death Notice for a Samuel P. Combs who was born in Delaware Co., IN and then migrated with his family to Iowa, he had married Sarah ARMSTRONG in 1863 and already was living in Worth Co. in 1870 (per census). So who is this Samuel Combs? Is he the same as the Samuel P. Combs of the 1850 and 1860 census records shown in Robert's household. Is son Michael the same as who migrates to Harrison Co, MO by 1880 where he is shown with wife Agnes and family? Harrison is just across the line from Ringold and Decatur Cos., IA Michale Comes married 5 Dec 1867 Agnes HACKER. Robert and Lucy not yet located in 1880 as they do not appear in the FHC 1880 census transcription. Could he be the same as Andrew Robert Combs (b. OH) found in the 1880 Ray Co., MO with a new wife Martha and young family? This Robert died in Ray Co. Nov. 5 1883 (age 60y3m7d) and is buried in the Little Union Cemetery, Grape Grove Township, Ray Co, Mo: (cemetery info submitted by Linda Berney).
