Notes: Micajah Combs first appears in records on the same 1814 (for 1813) tax list as his presumed father, Joseph, in Franklin Twp., Fayette Co, PA, thus 21 years at that time (b pre-1793). In 1820, Micajah is on the Franklin Twp., Fayette Co, PA census, age 26-45 (b ca 1765-1784), but by 1830 is in Montgomery Co, OH where he was residing when he patented land in Randolph County (See 1837 records above). Micajah's father, Joseph of Franklin, was the s/o Andrew & Mary Combs I of the Tonoloways Settlement who d 1774, Loudoun Co, VA. Micajah's father, Joseph I of Franklin, left Fayette Co, PA ca 1819, removing to Wayne Co, OH, that part which later became Holmes, which is where he died in 1827, with his son, Joseph B. Combs, Jr., administrator of his estate. Although no mention of Micajah is found in his father's estate records, when his brother, Joseph B. Combs, Jr. later d in Auglaize Co, OH, his estate accounts included: "statement of administrator listing uncollectable debts owed the estate of Joseph Combs … included named Macaga Combs & Joseph Combs owing $28.07 "good for nothing" was dated 8 Dec 1857. Where was Micajah's son, Joseph, in 1850? Is the Nancy GIDLETT [sic] the same as the Nancy Combs who married 01 Jan 1847 Ezekiel GULLETT? Is Tebitha [sic} the same that married Silas COATS in 1855?
