Note: Appears to be Martha, 2nd wife and widow of Mathew Combs Jr. of Andrew Co, MO, who was the son of Mathew Combs Sr. and Frankie BROWN of Breathitt Co, KY. Matthew m 2nd in 1854 in Buchanan Co, MO, Martha Ann McDANIEL, widow of Henry FRAKER, whom she had m in 1849 in Buchanan. a widow. Eliza appears to be Mathew's daughter Eliza, subject of a newspaper item regarding her disappearance as a young girl. (26 Jan 1872 Liberty Tribune (newspaper) "From Savannah, Missouri "New Era". Two daughters of our esteemed citizen Matthew Combs have been missing since the 8th inst. The eldest is 16 years old, quite tall, of fair complection and blue eyes, named Eliza; the youngest girl, is 13, named Margaret" (Extracted by Combs Researcher Michael R. Wilson from Liberty Tribune. (26 JAN 1872). From Savannah, Missouri. p. 2; Hodges, N. & Woodruff, H.W. (1976). Genealogical Notes from the Liberty Tribune - 1868-1874, Clay County Archives & Historical Library, 210 East Franklin Street, Box 99, Liberty, Missouri 64065 [816]781-3611]. Volume III. "January 26, 1872, Cont." p. 61.) Researchers state Eliza ran off to get married. George and Eliza not in the 1900 Reno census. Might they be the George and Elizabeth with son Charles, age 23, in the 1900 Jasper Co., MO. census?
