Notes: Dolly Combs was the widow of Bennett Combs, died ca 1801, Pendleton Co., SC, and the mother of Verlinda, wife of Abraham DUFF, also of Pendleton Co SC; Isabell who married Hazeal PUTNAM (a.k.a. PUTMAN) and Jane who married Reuben WILBANKS, both in Oct 1806 in Warren Co., KY; Rachel who married Abraham DILLBACK in 1817 in Warren Co., KY, Stacy whom Redding PUTMAN in 1812 in Knox Co., IN; Mary who marroed Larkin BURCHFIELD in 1817 in Gibson Co., IN.. Dolly Combs is found in the 1810 Warren Co., KY Census, and in 1822 in Gibson Co., IN; she died in 1838 in Sangamon Co., IL. Note that the 1810 Census showed a young male in Dolly's Household. Notes: Thomas Finley COOMBS was the son of Adin COOMBS and Pamelia COOMBS of Hardin Co.. KY where he appears on the 1860 Census. It is not believed these COOMBS were kin to the earlier Combs of this county (later records not researched yet)
