Worcester County was established in 1731 from Suffolk and Middlesex.
(1757-1848) John Combs, enlisted as a private in the Revolutionary War in 1777, was placed on the pension roll of Worcester County at the age of seventy-six for service of private in the Massachusetts militia. He was born in Warren, Mass., where he died. John married Eunice Shepard (see record below.) John and Eunice had a daughter named Pamelia.
