Florian Vance COMBS "Bud" was born on 8 Apr 1927 in Minnetonka, Hennepin Co., Minnesota. He is the son of Alfred William Combs and Rose Barbara Pilarski


1930 Census
Effie C. Eaton is listed on 1930 Census with George Eaton both age 63. which indicates birth year of 1867 married at age 43 which is approximately 1910. They are listed in the household of George Wilson, roominghouse proprietor.

Alfred, age 41, first married at 39, he and both parents born in Ohio, fruit company truck driver. Rose, wife, age 32, first married at 28, she and both parents born in MN. Florian, son, age 3, b. MN.


10 May 1932 Effie Cordelia Wilson Death Certificate
(Minnesota Historical Society: 1932-MN-019213)Effie married Harry Combs in Logan County, OH. She and Harry divorced around 1902 and she later married George P. Eaton in Minneapolis, MN. The following is the transcription of information from her death certificate:
Name: Effie Eaton. Death due to uterine and ovarian cancer on 10 May 1932 after suffering for 1 1/2 years. Buried in Hillside Cemetery on 12 May 1932. Father is listed as Val Wilson born in South Carolina and mother is listed as Effie Wilson born in Ohio. Information provided by George Wilson of 140 W. 10th St., Minneapolis, MN. She is said to have lived in Minnesota for 22 years (approx since 1910).


3 Jan 1966 Robert Freeman COMBS death Known as Freeman, he died in Deephaven, MN. The cause of death was Pneumonia. He was buried in Grandview Park Cemetery, Hopkins, Hennepin, Co, MN.


4 Jan 1972 Alfred William COMBS Death He died on 4 Jan 1972 in Cresco, Howard County, Iowa. The cause of death was stroke. He was buried in St. Margarets Cemetery, Hopkins, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.
