Notes: ND aka Nelson D Combs, s/o of John Milton Combs and Mary DAVIS of Knox Co., IL and Highland Co., OH. Nelson and Polly can be found in 1860 in Knox Co., IL. In 1880, ND Combs is living with Wilson H. Combs in Nemaha Co, NE where he is listed as being a brother. Polly was not with him in 1880 and no more information is available about what happened to his family. In 1900, there is a Nelson B. Combs, age 63, living in the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Adams Co., IL. He states he was born in OH and that his parents were both born in VA.
