NORMAN TRANSCRIPT. Norman Oklahoma Monday. ................
Fatal holiday includes death at Thunderbird
.....In another water-related accident, a 27 year old man drowned in
Lake Texhoma Sunday morning.
The body of COLE COMBS, whose 28th birthday would have been today, was
taken from the lake at 10 a.m. in water 80 feet deep by Lake Patrol
officer Don Blizzard Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said.
Combs recently moved to Durant (Okla) from San Antonio, Texas, the
Patrol reported.

Notes BR]: Submitted by COMBS researcher Barbara Rivas, who adds that I have a newspaper clipping. Something my mother cut out of the local paper. I'm sorry, but the date is missing. However, an article on the reverse side mentions Labor Secretary Raymond Donovan and "following the lead of President Reagan". That should date it a little. Oh, my mother died in April, 1979, so that also will help with the timeframe. Also. this occured over a Labor Day weekend.

Notes BTM] Could this possibly be Colon COMBSs born Sept 7, 1953 and died Sept 1981? according to the SS Index this would make him about the right age to fit the above Newspaper clipping. If this is the correct COMBS, then the newspaper would have likely been dated Sept. 7, 1981.

Important: All Records collected for this county may not have been added here as yet. See also the Combs Research List Archives
