Montgomery County, Pennsylvania was established in 1784 from Philadelphia Co, PA. The only early records located thus far are Quaker records, with the individuals and families all possibly having resided just across the line from the Abington MM in Bucks Co, PA.

05 Oct 1733 (Fall MM Bucks Co, PA) Margaret COMBE received on certificate from Abington MM [then Philadelphia Co, now Montgomery Co, PA]

31st:1st Mo. 1746 The Abington Monthly Meeting Minutes [then Philadelphia, now Montgomery Co, PA] (p.263) Society of Friends record: At a MoMg held 31st:1st Mo. 1746 Whereas Joseph COMBS & Mary LUCKEN, having declared their intentions of marriage to each other before two Mo mgs. inquiry being made by persons appd. are found clear of any obstructions , they are therefore at liberty to accomplish the same, orderly and to be attended by Nichs: AUSTIN & Atevhen [Stephen?] JENKENS as overseers.

17 Sep 1759 - 25 Jan 1760 (Philadelphia MM PA) Wm. LOOFBOURROUGH & w, Mary, & ch & three apprentices, the latter being John MARTIN, Ginnins FIELD & Wm. COMBS, received on certificate from Abington MM [then Philadelphia, now Montgomery Co, PA] dated 17 Sep 1759

25 Oct 1762 - 27 May 1763 (Philadelphia MM ) John LUKENS & wife, Sarah, & children, Peter, Charles, Jesse, Judah, Elizabeth, Tacy, Gainor & Edith, received on certificate from Abington MM [then Philadelphia, now Montgomery Co, PA], dated 25 Oct 1762; also Sarah COMBS, a child under their care

Note: John LUCKEN was also received on certificate from Abington MM, dated 1756,6,28
