Montgomery County, Pennsylvania was established in 1784 from Philadelphia Co, PA. The only early records located thus far are Quaker records, with the individuals and families all possibly having resided just across the line from the Abington MM in Bucks Co, PA.

31st:1st Mo. 1746 The Abington Monthly Meeting Minutes [then Philadelphia, now Montgomery Co, PA] (p.263) Society of Friends record: At a MoMg held 31st:1st Mo. 1746 Whereas Joseph COMBS & Mary LUCKEN, having declared their intentions of marriage to each other before two Mo mgs. inquiry being made by persons appd. are found clear of any obstructions , they are therefore at liberty to accomplish the same, orderly and to be attended by Nichs: AUSTIN & Atevhen [Stephen?] JENKENS as overseers.
