05 Jan 1785 (Greene Co, Tennessee Marriage Bond 19) January 5, 1785 Francis HARBISON -- Jamina (sic) Combs - Alex McLAUGHLIN (GREENE COUNTY, TENNESSEE MARRIAGES, 1783-1868, Compiled by Goldene Fillers Burgner, published 1981 by Southern Historical Press, reprinted 1991, p. 1, hereinafter Greene Marriages, extracted by Combs Researcher Connie Sheets who adds: Although the compiler offers no explanations or column headings, it appears that the number which precedes the earlier marriages is the number on the bond certificate and that the third name mentioned is the name of the person posting the bond. The first name is definitely the groom and the second name is definitely the bride (or at least that has been the case for my families).

Notes: Unidentified; however, see also Combs-Harbisons connections per Carlton Wilber Combs Letter.
