Note: Courtney Combs, son of Stephen Sewell Combs and his second wife Elizabeth SWANGO of Wolfe Co, Ky. Courtney is found at age 1 with his parents in their 1880 Wolfe Co, Ky census household. See his DC below. Courtney removed to Texas between 1900 and 1910 as he is still found in Wolfe Co on the 1900 census. Courtney is likely the same as the Combs (no given name but listed as cashier and age 31) living in the Ganado household (boarder) of Chester McCOLLISTER in the 1910 census. In 1920, Courtney and his wife are living next door to a MAURTZ family, also of Sweden and probably related to Pauline.
