Young County, Texas, was established in 1856 from Bosque and Fannin Counties. Descendant Counties include (in 1876) Hall, Hansford, Hartley, Hemphill, Hockley, Howard, Kent, Knox, Swisher, and Wheeler, and (in 1881) Nolan. The county seat is Graham.
