Morgan County, VA was established in 1820 from Berkeley and Hampshire Cos, VA. In 1863, Morgan became part of the newly-established state of West Virginia. No descendant counties.

SEABER (m 25 Dec 1872, Westernport, >Allegany Co, MD, the bride's residence, the groom a resident of Piedmont, Mineral Co, WV), and gs/o John Joseph & Susanna Melvina CRAWFORD Combs of Hampshire Co, VA. Of William Combs, brother of Frank Brown Combs, little is known. He was living in Ohio in 1909 when his father, John Slidell McKenzie Combs, died.
