SE Note: This couple next found in 1880 Doddridge Co, WVA census and appears to be same found in the 1850 Taylor Co, VA [now WVA] census and the same as James Combs who married Susanna CORBIN in 1838 in Hampshire Co, VA [now WVA]. Family not yet located in the 1860 census; however, death of daughter Annie recorded in 1860 in Wood Co which also states Annie was born in Hampshire Co. There is an 1858 Taylor Co marriage for Martha Combs (born Hampshire Co), d/o of Jas and Susanna, to George Golden; however, Martha still appears in their household and appears to not be married. The 17 Feb. 1929 Pleasants Co, WVA death record of their son James B Combs states his parents were James Anison Combs and Susana Corbin. James [Anison] Combs died 16 Feb. 1902 in Pleasants Co and had predeceased his wife by the 1900 census where he is found living with his son James B Combs who married Carrie aka Caroline FOUSE in 1872 in Wood.
