ALAN SEXTON, of Lavenham, Suffolk. Appointed Trustee of certain property at Lavenham, by Deed, May 15, 1479. Will dated Dec.26, 1487, proved Feb. 8, 1487-8, in Prerog. Court, Canterbury. He left property (including Nelys Croft) at Laven- ham, to his son Robert

(1) MARION, sister of Thomas Spring of Lavenham. She was living, 1487
ROBERT SEXTON, of Lavenham. Will dated Feb. 25, 1517-8, proved March 20, 1517-8, (P.C.C.). He left all his property at Lavenham to his wife Agnes for life; with the remainder to his son Thomas; his lands at Gestingthorpe and Maplestead, Essex, to his son Thomas; £40 to each of his 6 daughters at age of 20; etc.
(2) AGNES, dau. of Thomas Jermyn, of Rushbrooke, Suffolk, and sister of Sir Thomas Jermyn, Kt. Will dated July 20, 1520, proved Aug. 23, 1520 (P.C.C.). She left £60 to each of her daughters; £40 for repairing the highways; £40 for building the steeple of Lavenham Church ; 100 marks for “ a candle beame ” in said Church; etc.

THOMAS SEXTON, of Lavenham.   Will dated May 25, 1529, proved   Feb. 18, 1529-30 (P.C.C.). He left to his wife and executrix, Elizabeth, for life, his house at Lavenham, also the Manor of Byham in Essex, with re- mainder to his son Thomas; 100 marks to his son Thomas, at age 21; etc.

THOMAS SEXTON, of Lavenham and London. Born between 1517 and 1527. Sold the messuage called Ostelers, with Dovehouse Meadow and Nelys Croft, at Lavenham, to Roger Grome, by Deed, dated Aug. 8, 1548 (preserved at Lavenham Rectory). See visitation of Norfolk, 1563.

MARRIAGE LICENCE. Martin Archedale, of All Hallows, Barking and Barbara Sexton, spinster, of St. Olave’s, Hart Street, at St. Olave’s aforesaid, 10th June, 1575. (from list of London Marriage Licences, Chester).
