The Overton family was connected to the Bookers of Amelia Co. and Gloucester Co., VA. The Overtons and Llwellen families were interconnected in Rockingham Co., NC.  They were also connected to the Garnett family and the Combs family in Meade Co., KY. patented to said HARRISON and by him conveyed to HITE on the same date, beginning at Clough OVERTON and Waller
OVERTON'S corner, thence northeast…… Witnessed by J. CHAMBERS, Stephen ORMSBY, George J. JOHNSTON, J. BUSH, George WILSON and William ROBERTS. Recorded June 13, 1791.

NOTE: Clough OVERTON and Waller OVERTON were cousins. Clough OVERTON was a brother of Thomas OVERTON; Thomas and Susan Llewellyn OVERTON were the parents of Maria K. OVERTON who married Llewellyn W. COMBS in 1830.  By 1835 the taxes on the land held by Clough and Waller Overton was charged to Susan Overton, Maria K. (Overton) Combs's mother. Notes: In 1830 Llewellyn Combs was in Meade Co., KY. He removed to Adams Co., IL, and died there by 1840 of yellow fever. Maria (OVERTON) COMBS then moved to Louisville, Ohio Co., KY by 1850 operating a boarding house. The ancestry of Llewellyn W.
