Bible record of Samuel Coombs and Emma Evelyn Mitchell of Carroll Co., KY, as transcribed by Emmerine (Ina) Coombs, wife of son John, between 1963 and1968. Ina transcribed these records before she returned the Bible to the family of William Orville Coombs, son of Samuel.  Wanda Lee Whitney transcribed Emmerine's transcription in February 2001 and Deb Coombs has proofread Wanda Lee Whitney's transcription from a copy of Emmerine's transcription.

NOTE from Deb C.:  I tried to locate the Bible of Samuel Coombs several years ago in  order to try and obtain a photo record of the entries, but was unsuccessful.  Also note that the last entry was after the death of Samuel.  Apparently this date and the death date of Samuel was written in by another family member? Samuel and Emma Evelyn Mitchell, the daughter of Addison Mitchell and Emily Coombs,  were married in Trimble Co., KY.  Eva was the name of Samuel's second wife.
