  • Note: Documented thoroughly to #5 Phillip Combs. Still researching #6 John Combs. US census data studied & unhelpful. A Cobb Co. GA John COMBS who died in 1850 at age 106 and Gen #5 Philip COMBS are the only COMBS in Cobb Co, GA at the time. Rev. War Pension Application of Gen 7, signed by a Philip COMBS suggests a relationship. Surnames of wives being studied. 1850 Obit and pension application payment coincide and appear to be for the same John COMBS.
