Sandy, a parish partly in the hundred of Wixamtree, but chiefly in that of Bigglesware, county of Bedford, 3¼ miles NW of Biggleswade, including the hamlets of Beeston and Gritford, is five miles north east of Leighton Buzzard, 6 miles northeast of Edlesborough, Bucks and abt 9 mi. from Clapham Parish.
