Beenham, a parish in the hundred of Reading, 9-3/4 mi. miles west southwest of Reading, containing 437 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Berks, and diocese of Salisbury... Mrs. STEVENS was patroness in 1810. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The river Kennet is here navigable." (Lewis, 1830), lies abt 19 mi. southeast of Sparsholt. (See Also Parishes within 10 miles of Beenham)
