Cheshunt, a parish in the hundred of [not yet extracted], county of Hertford, is due north of Waltham Cross, Herts (directly across the river from Waltham Holy Cross, Essex), just southwest of Wormley, Herts and five miles northwest of Chingford, Essex. Cheshunt is less than four miles northeast of Enfield, Middlesex, and five miles southeast of Little Berkhamstead, Herts.
