St Bartholomew Exchange,
(1.24 mi. north of city centre) London
St Bartholomew Exchange (a.k.a. St Bartholomew by the Exchange, 1.24 mi. north of city centre) was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666, rebuilt, then demolished 1891-2. It was united to St Margaret Lothbury in 1839. Parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms 1558-1711/2, 1723/4-1840, marriages 1558/9-1706, 1723/4-1840, banns 1754-1840, burials 1558-1678, 1706-11, 1723/4-1838 The registers for baptisms 1712-23, marriages 1706-23, burials 1678-1706, 1712-23 not extant. For later registers, see St Margaret Lothbury. A partial index to baptisms and marriages for 1558-1840 is in the IGI.
