St John Zachary (1.24 mi. north of city centre) was destroyed by the Great Fire in 1666 and not rebuilt. It was united to St. Anne and St. Agnes in 1670, and to St Vedast Foster Lane in 1954. Parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms 1693-1895, marriages 1755-1837, burials 1693-1849. For later registers baptisms from 1896, marriages from 1837, banns from 1774, and marriage licenses from 1831, see St Anne and St Agnes. A partial index to baptisms and marriages 1640-1875 is in the IGI.
