Note: The primary sources for information given in regard to parish records are GenDoc's Victorian City of London Churches (Church of England a.k.a. Anglican) and FamilySearch.Org
St. Mary Magdalen Milk Street (1.24 mi. north of city centre) was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666, and not rebuilt. It was united to St Lawrence Jewry in 1670. Parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms, 1558-1677; marriages, 1559-1666; and burials, 1558-1665. For later registers see St Lawrence Jewry. A partial index to baptisms and marriages for the years 1538-1880 is in the IGI. Only one Combs is in the index:
31 Jul 1709 St. Lawrence Jewry And St. Mary Magdalene Milk Street, London. Christened: William COMBS, s/o James and Ann COMBS (IGI, So: 845247, Pr: 0820653, source not yet viewed)
