Hanwell Parish, Hundred of Elthorne, lies abt 10 mi. west of the centre of the City of London, with Ealing to the east; Old Brentford (see Ealing) to the southeast; Norwood to the southwest; Greenford to the northwest; and Perivale to the northeast. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Middlesex, and diocese of London… and in the patronage of the Bishop of London.
