Combs Researcher Dorothy Koenig adds: After their marriage James and his wife lived close to her parents - in District 1 of Nelson County they were enumerated on 2 Sept. in the 1850 census. The DRAGOOS lived in dwelling # 656, where Peter (age 45) lived with his wife "C." and 9 children between the ages of 17 and 4 months. Peter was born in Pennsylvania, is farming, and has property worth $1,000. See 1860 Nelson Co., KY Census.
