Notes: Is the above William R. COMBS of Fayette Co., KY, son of Benjamin and Sarah RICHARDSON Combs of Clark Co., KY?  According to one source, William was born 27 May 1786, and Benton Co, MO records indicate his son, William, was born in 1833. Who were B. Burke and John S.? They are not listed as sons by other sources, but see son, Benjamin B., born ca 1821, died 1898, Benton Co, MO; and see will of General Leslie COMBS who refers to nephew Burke COMBS.
