Christened: John COMBE, s/o Margarett COMBE.(1) The birth year of John COMBE of St. Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury, London, is estimated at 1560-1562; (2) In 1605, this same John COMBE apprenticed as a Draper one Ellis COMBS, b ca 1590, who is known to have been a "kinsman;" (3) in St. Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury, London, in addition to John's wife, Margaret ARCHDALE, is an "extra" Margaret COMBE. Married: Johane COMBE and Abrahame ROWEIn Old Rappahannock County, VA, closely associated with Archdale COMBS of that county is one Abraham COMBS who later removes to St. Mary's and Charles Counties, Maryland. In Old Rappa Co VA, Abraham is termed "the brother in law" of John MEADORS whose wife was named Joan [Combs?]. Also in Old Rappa Co VA is one Edmond ROWE who removes to Talbot Co MD, both of whose daughters, Elizabeth and Mary, marry William and John COMBS, respectively - both of whom, like the Combs of Old Rappa Co VA, appear to have possibly had early ties to Isle of Wight County, VA.
