1581 Broadway, Worcester, England. Married: Elizabeth HALL and Walter SAVAGE (2)

1593 Broadway, Worcester, England. Married: Mary ARCHDALE and Robert MOLTON (2)

According to Christopher Wakefield's The Kinship of Thomas COMBE II (3), William, christened 1551, was the s/o John COMBE II of Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, by a second wife, Katherine QUYNEY whom he married in 1534 (No source is given for this second marriage). William, s/o John of Stratford-on-Avon, entered the Middle Temple in 1571, married before 1593, a daughter of Richard HANBURY of London, buried Dachett, Bucks. Wakefield states that William died in 1610 (no location given) and references William's will (PCC Wool 52), which he states included a £10 bequest to "the poor of Broadway." It is unclear as to whether this will, not yet acquired, specified that Broadway was William's birthplace, but is it not possible, even probable, that this William was the son of John and Alice WYMARKE Combe? (Wakefield makes no mention of the COMBE-WYMARKE marriage).

Mary ARCHDALE was the daughter of Richard and Mary FERNE Archdale of Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire where she was christened on 29 Sep 1564. She and her husband are named in the 1633-5 Visitations of London, Archdale Family ("Robert MOULTON of Hunyborne in Worcester, gent"). Their daughter, Ann, married Richard POWELL of Forest Hill, and their daughter, Mary POWELL, b 1625, d 1652, m in 1642, John MILTON the Poet (Archdale Memoirs...). No "Hunyborne"has been located as yet, but Church Honeybourne Parish in Worcester may be the actual parish name as it is is less than five mi. from Broadway.
