No. 18 John LANCASTER died testate 1759-60, naming, among others, his widow, Mary (2nd wife, by whom no issue), sons Joseph and John LANCASTER and daughter, Katherine COMBS. The latter had married Enoch COMBS, son of Enoch and Mary MANNING Combs of St. Mary's County, Maryland. John LANCASTER married first Elizabeth NEAL, daughter of Raphael and Mary NEALE of Charles. Raphael NEALE died testate in 1743 naming, among others, John LANCASTER, "lands for life," then to pass to children of his daughter, Elizabeth LANCASTER, and grandchildren John, Joseph and Raphael LANCASTER (See 1761 Combs &c. of St. Mary's County, Maryland)
No. 57 Edward SMOOT was probably the same who was son of John and Posthuma FORD Smoot (See next)
No. 60 Persuma GROVER may have been Posthuma FORD Smoot Groves [sic], daughter of Edward and Elizabeth ALLANSON Ford and widow of (1) John SMOOT (s/o Edward and Lydia NEWMAN Smoot) and (2) John GROVES. In 1721 John and Posthuma FORD sold a portion of Christian Temple Manor to John SANDERS, the tract described as "whereon Richard COOMBS lately dwelt." ("The Smoots of Maryland and Virginia," by Harry Wright Newman, privately published in Washington D.C, 1936 and see Combs &c. of Charles County, 1721)
No. 66 Nolly FORD may be Notley (Notly) FORD, s/o No. 26 Edward FORD (died testate 1761-3, naming son Notly, and grandchildren, Edward and Sarah GWINN, among others (MD Wills, 31.923)
