Luton, a parish in the county of Bedford, is 2.24 miles northeast of Caddington, Beds; 7 miles southeast of Toddington, Beds; 8 miles northeast of Edlesborough, Bucks; and less than 9 miles northeast of Hemel-Hempstead, Herts

No Combes have been found in Luton thus far, and the following Archdales remain unidentified:

13 Oct 1619 Christened: Thos. ARCHDALE, s/o Edward ARCHDALE

One Edward ARCHDALE was the s/o John and Frances HONING Archdale of Suffolk, but not born until 1604, presumably to young to be father of above Thomas?

20 Apr 1620 Luton, Bedfordshiree, England. Christened. Rich. ROTHERHAM, s/o Ralf ROTHERHAM. (FamilySearch.Org)

See the 1638 Chipping Wycombe, Bucks, will of Richard ARCHDALE who names his "cousin Barbara ROTHERAM" (unidentified) and see Rotherham, Yorks re possible Archdale-Rotherham connection there.
