Quainton, a parish in the hundred of Ashendon, is 3.34 miles southeast of Middle Claydon; 3.72 miles west of Whitchurch; 4.85 miles northeast of Wotton Underwood; and 5.3 miles northeast of Ludgershall; and 9.72 miles southwest of Soulbury, all in Bucks. it is less than 7 mi. from Oxfordshire and less than 10 mi. from Herts (parishinfo.mdb), and includes the hamlets of Denham, Doddershall, and Shipton-Lee… monuments include a memorial to the learned orientalist, Richard BRETT… (Lewis, 1831)

John LOVETT (s/o Christopher and Frances O'MORE Lovett), and his first cousin, Susannah LOVETT, widow of John HORTON (whom she married 17 May 1686, Middle Claydon, Bucks) and d/o Lawrence and Margaret LOVETT. Christopher and Lawrence were siblings of the above noted Robert and Elizabeth, all four children of Sir Robert and Ann SAUNDERS Lovett. Middle Claydon is ten miles southwest of Soulbury, near Quainton (no Combs marriages located in either as yet).
