St Olave Hart Street (Fenchurch Street) survived the Great Fire of 1666, but was badly damaged in 1941, and restored after. Allhallows Staining united with St Olave in 1870.* St Katherine Coleman was united to St Olave Hart Street in 1921. Parish records are at the Guildhall Library: baptisms 1706-1978, marriages 1704-1961, banns 1754-1815 & 1823-6 & 1840-1936, burials 1801-1853. The registers for baptisms 1563-1706, marriages 1563-1704, burials 1563-1801 are retained by the incumbent. A A partial index to baptisms and marriages for the years 1563-1878 is in the IGI. No Combs are in this index (1998).

* Allhallows Staining, Mark Lane (only the tower and crypt remain) parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms 1642-1743 & 1757-94 & 1813-70, marriages 1653-1740 and 1754-1869, banns 1754-1870, burials 1653-1728 and 1736-7 & 1757-1853. The register of baptisms for 1744-57 and 1794-1812, marriages for 1740/1-54, burials for 1728-36 and 1737/8-57 are not extant. For later baptisms, marriages and banns see St Olave Hart Street. 13 Jun 1575 St. Olave Hart Street. Married: Martyn ARCHDALE and Barbara SEXTEN" [SEXTON] (Parish Register, ibid.)
Martin ARCHDALE, s/o John ARCHDALE of Stafford, Staffordshire, and Barbara SEXTON, d/o Thomas SEXTON of London, are next found in the parish of Allhallows Barking.
21 Feb 1586 Saint Olave Hart Street, London, London, England. Married: Judith STODARDE and Robert BARKAR (Family Search.Org, IGI, No. 6903675, Computer printout of London, St. Olave Hart Street, London, England) [Search: BARKER, STODDARD]
Judith STODDARD was apparently(?) either the daughter or widow of George STODDARD, business associate of Martin ARCHDALE. One ancestral file submission states that George married an Ann SEXTON and another that he married an Ann HERDSON. (See Combs &c. Supplement to State Papers - PRO)
