Harrison County was formed in 1793 from Bourbon and Scott Counties. The county seat is Cynthiana.  In 1795, Campbell was formed from Harrison, Mason and Scott.  In 1867, Robertson was formed from Bracken, Fleming, Harrison, Mason, and Nicholas.
