Pulaski Co., KY was established in 1799 from Green and Lincoln. In 1801, Wayne was established from Pulaski and Cumberland, and in 1810, Rockcastle was established from Pulaski, Lincoln, Madison and Knox. In 1912, Creary was established from Pulaski, Wayne and Whitley.

1827 Daniel F. and Hetha Combs McKinney (married 1 Oct 1811, from Franklin Co., KY) to Pulaski Co., KY from Wayne Co., KY (Loren Gardner)

LG Notes: Hettie a.k.a. Hetha [short for Beheathland?] was the second wife of Daniel F. MCKINNEY. Daniel and Hetha are found in Wayne Co. KY in 1820 through 1825 tax records. In 1827 they moved to Pulaski Co. KY. In 1836 through 1848 I find them in Logan Co. IL, where Daniel died in 1848-49. Hetha Combs McKinney died after 1860. Known children of Hetha and Daniel are Abraham 1822 married. Rebecca BROOKS?? and William 1824 married Permalia BIRKS. Census records indicate Hetha and Daniel had four daughters, but their names are not known. Hetha may have been the daughter of Stephen and Barbara ALLEN Combs of Loudoun Co.,VA and Lincoln Co., KY

Note: Nicholas Combs is probably the son of Samuel & Nancy CORNETT Combs. See 1850 Breathitt Co., KY Census). Nicholas married Mary "Polly" BOWLING (Owsley Co., KY 1853-1855 Vital Statistics) In 1860, they are on the Pulaski Co., KY census, as are Polly's parents, George & Phoebe BOLLING (above). Polly apparently died following the birth of son, George, in 1869 as she is missing from the 1870 Laurel Co., KY census HH of Nicholas and her sons, Albert and James B. Their son, George, is in the 1870 Rockcastle Co., KY census with Mary's parents, George & Phoebe. This Combs family are the only Combs in Pulaski Co. in 1860.
