Montgomery County was established in 1803, the same year OH was admitted as a state, from Hamilton Co and non-county area, and at this time comprised most of Northwest Ohio. In 1807 Miami was est. from Montgomery, and in 1809, Darke from Miami. During the period 1807-12, Darke and Miami Counties gained most of Montgomery Co. In 1808, Preble was est. from Butler and Montgomery.

Who was Elizabeth COMBS? Was she kin to Margaret COMBS of Frederick MD, d/o Unknown and Unknown RICHARDSON Combs, possibly of Baltimore MD?
